Remove coupon for a particular user role

Hello
Is there a way where the coupon facility is removed/disable for a particular user role.
I was tihnking this can be achieved by two way.
1. by disabling the coupon functionality for a specific user role.
2. by hiding the coupon input box for a particular user group from cart page.

Please let me know if anyone have found a way to achieve it.
