Thanks, but that code makes the small contact bubble disappear on the Blog page, but it does not remove the big call out background on the link above. Thanks for your help though.

once the child theme is active, someone might be able to help with your question.

or try working with a tool such as Firebug https://getfirebug.com/ to investigate those fundamental formatting problems.
