I am trying to SIMPLIFY my Post page and would like to completely eliminate the collapsible JavaScript menus to the right of the post field, (“Discussion… Password-Protect Post… Post Slug…etc.”), as well as the collapsible menus below the post field, (“Optional Exerpt… Trackbacks…etc.”). I can’t seem to accomplish this by editing “wp-admin post.php,” and seem to get nothing but syntax errors no matter how I approach this chore. Any HELP would be greatly appreciated.
PS- I tried a plugin that supposedly simplifies the post dektop but it had no effect.
    Thanks Much, DB~

  • You’ll have to do some WordPress Core file editing, might wanna start with, looking through the: wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php file once..

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks spencerp-
I would never have thought about the particular file you mentioned. I’ll give it a shot, with my fingers crossed!
