Just test-migrated to a new host, and Ivory refuses to work so I thought of a clean install.

However re-installing the plugin does not work, all settings are retained and I haven’t figured a way how to “factory reset” the plugin.

    Any tips appreciated.

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can reset the search form settings by clicking on the Reset button of the search form.

    Best regards,

Thanks, however that does nothing, the form is still not operational.

    Here it works fine: https://aitrendz.xyz

However after migration it’s broken: https://ws.aitrendz.xyz

I can see both the search forms are different.

You have not enabled AJAX search on the website https://ws.aitrendz.xyz/ so please enable it.

Also, please make sure that you are using same versions of WordPress and PHP on both the websites.

“I can see both the search forms are different.”
-well, you suggested the Reset button, so the resetted one is different

“You have not enabled AJAX search on the website https://ws.aitrendz.xyz/ so please enable it.”
    -done

“Also, please make sure that you are using same versions of WordPress and PHP on both the websites.”
    – aitrendz.xyz = PHP 8.2
    – ws.aitrendz.xyz = PHP 8.3
    – should I downgrade ws. to 8.2? The other host does not support 8.3

You don’t need to change PHP version.

Do you have same content on both websites?

Could you please temporarily deactivate the Ivory Search plugin and visit the below URL to know whether it works fine or not?

Yes, it works when deactivated (it’s turned off now you can try)

    – Yes, it works when deactivated (it’s turned off now you can try)

“Do you have same content on both websites?”
    – as much the same as possible, I updated URLs when migrating, otherwise it *should* be the same

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporarily deactivating all plugins except the Ivory Search plugin and see whether everything works fine, and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

Also, This can be a theme issue used on your site so to confirm it just temporarily use the Twenty Twenty One theme on your site. If everything works fine then it’s your site theme issue.

Disabled all plugins and switched to Twenty Twenty One, as you can see Ivory is still not working (https://ws.aitrendz.xyz).

May I kindly ask for answering the original question, how to clean install the plugin? We’ve tried multiple additional steps you requested without any progress so far.

As said earlier that you can reset individiual search forms.

If there is no conflict issue and the plugin works on your one website but not other then it means this is a website or webhost specific issue.
