We have a grouped product that has a fixed set of products that are individually available in their own right but are also available in a fixed bundle.

The bundle consists of a quantity of one of each product and I do not want users to be able to adjust the quantity or remove an item from the bundle. At the moment I have turned off the quantitiy selector and replaced it with the checkboxes. I’d like to suppress those too. What CSS would I need to do that please? Everything I have tried so far has failed to have any effect, even with !important

  • Hi @paulbarrett1952,

WPC Grouped Products is a plugin for grouping separate products together. Customers can choose to add only 1, some certain items, or all from a product group to the cart. All items in a group are still treated as INDIVIDUAL items. Noticeable, Grouped Products doesn’t have any discounting method. Users CAN’T control the chosen quantity of grouped items as well. The only way to give a discount to a group is to use the coupons or vouchers.

For your purpose, you can try to set up the plugin: WPC Product Bundles

WPC Product Bundles is a plugin for bundling simple, subscription, and variable products. Customers must buy all items included in a bundle to enjoy the promotion/discount. There are 2 pricing methods: fixed price (General tab) or auto-calculated price (the sum of prices of all chosen bundled products). Customers can change the quantity of each item when the Custom quantity option is enabled and can leave any item out of the list if you set the Min quantity limit for each item to 0. This is the most flexible and common plugin for building offers like yours. You can check one example here, this bundle is made of different variations of the same variable product: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/bundle-samples/. We also have another plugin called WPC Composite Products for WooCommerce, which is a kit-building plugin. In a deal, you can set up both optional and required items, with flexible pricing methods: only base price, include/exclude base price. You can rename a component and set a new price in percentage or use an amount. Users can add multiple products to each component, but only 1 item can be selected from the list for each component. There are a variety of sources for users to pull various products at once to each components using product tags, categories, attributes (color, size, …), brands, etc. Doc: https://doc.wpclever.net/wooco/ Live demo: https://demo.wpclever.net/wooco/

I have installed the bundles plugin and created a smart bundle product. The items I need to add to it are variations of a variable product, which is what I have set the options to in search settings. But when I go to the Bundles Products tab and try to add them, all the search results are greyed out an unselctable. Why would that be please?

    Dear @paulbarrett1952,

    For your information:

In the free version of our plugin, only simple and subscription products can be searched and added. Instead, free users can now add unlimited products as they prefer. Variable products and variations are only available in the Premium version.

Note: Some types of subscription products are not fully compatible with our plugin as well. We can offer customization service to make it work if you are a Pro user and provide us with access to the admin area.

In case you need further instructions, kindly refer to this online documentation: https://doc.wpclever.net/. Best regards.

Ah, OK. So. were are a tiny not-for-profit where every penny has to be spent wisely. We only have the need to create one bundle and it just doesn’t justify the expenditure.

Please can we return to the original request? What CSS do I need, to hide the checkboxes on the grouped product single product page please? Because that would do everything we need. If this succeeds and dive sales we may then consider creating other bundles and then we would buy the Pro version of bundles.

    Thank you for your consideration
