remove captions on slider when viewed on mobile device

We have captions on images in our metaslider gallery that look great on a desktop browser. However, they cover up too much of the image when the webpage is viewed from a mobile phone. Could you suggest some code so that the slider has no captions when viewed on a small screen? Or some other workaround or modification?
