Thanks for the positive feedback and for your question.

There are two ways to remove captions for several or all Media Library items at once. Both of them use a special Content Template value, template:[+empty+].

    1. You can enter the special template:[+empty+] value in the Caption field of the Bulk Edit area on the Media/Assistant submenu table. Pick the item(s) you want to edit, select “Edit” from the Bulk Actions dropdown, click “Apply”, enter template:[+empty+] in the Caption (or other) field and then click “Update”.
    2. You can enter the special template:[+empty+] value in the EXIF/Template text box of the Caption rule on the Settings/Media Library Assistant IPTC/EXIF screen. Set the “Priority” dropdown to EXIF and the “Existing Text” dropdown to “Replace”. Click “Map All Attachments, Standard Fields Now” to run the rule against all items.

Note that if you use the IPTC/EXIF mapping rule, the rules for other Standard Fields will also run. You can set the “Existing Text” dropdown to “Keep” on the other rules to avoid replacing the content of the other Standard fields.

I hope that gets you the results you want. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions about removing Caption values in bulk using either of the two methods I outlined above. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

Thanks for that. I will keep it in mind for next time. In the meantime, I am leaving a favorable WordPress rating.
