    Thank you for your work.

Any way to do this with your plugin?

Remove branding from Sitemap “Generated by Yoast SEO, this is an XML Sitemap”

    Hello,

    Thanks for your question.

Yes, this is possible, but it will not be limited to only that sentence. I can hide the entire first paragraph (first two sentences) and leave the branding-less sentence that indicates the number of sitemaps included.

I am not entirely sure when I have the time to implement this. Very likely I will add it to a new version that will contain a few other things too.

If you want to hide it in the meantime, you can check out the solution over at Github where I have made a new ticket based on your feature request here: https://github.com/senlin/so-clean-up-wp-seo/issues/109 .

I will therefore close the issue here and you can use the Github thread for follow-up.

Hey that’s awesome – yes I did also find this css display none option, but I couldn’t find a way to apply it to the xml file generated in Yoast. Doing it manually not an option since it would be overwritten each time the xml is refreshed. Need some kind of function that applies this css block to the xml inline, but that’s a challenge!

Thank you kindly for your work. I’ll buy you a coffee when done! ??

That’s not going to happen. The only way that I can do it, is by setting the generated output to display: none in the CSS. If that’s not what you want, then it is perhaps time that you switch to a different SEO plugin? ??
