Right, we automatically add those brackets there to show the ingredient notes.
What you could do is enter your ingredient notes without brackets and add those brackets in the Template Editor for the recipe.

    Hi Brecht,

I tried to follow your advice, but it doesn’t work out as expected:

First I added a “Title & Text”-field with a bracket, then I wanted to add a condition, so that the bracket is only shown if “Recipe Ingredient Notes” is missing.

First I tried it with “Add Sub Field Condition” and the field “ingredient notes” but then the bracket doesn’t show up at all.

Then I was looking for the exact spelling of the field, but it doesn’t show up in the options of “Add Field Condition” either.(https://prntscr.com/caq6rh)

Can you tell me how I get this working?

    Best

The screenshot doesn’t seem to work but you were definitely on the right track using the “Add Sub Field Condition”. Send us an export of your template (can be done from the top right in the Template Editor) at [email protected]

    Thanks for helping!

Luckily I just found the cause on my own: The recipe were I wanted to check the new template didn’t update the preview in the WP-backend before I clicked on “Update” explicitely. Now it is working with “Add Sub Field Condition” and the field “ingredient notes” ??
