Remove /Blog/Category from WordPress permalink url in 4.2.4

  • Hi,

    I have integrated WordPress into Magento in the /blog directory. I have seen older posts to get the /blog/category out of the url, but nothing for 4.2.4 so figure I would post to see if anything is changed, new, and also to provide the information for newer users with the same request as me.

    Can anyone out there provide information on this subject?

    It is likely having to do with your permalink configuration. Have you checked [yourwpurl]/wp-admin/options-permalink.php to see if it has the configuration you are looking for?

    I am not very familiar with that file, at all actually. Do you have any specific recommendations on this setting?

    I found this plugin I can use to remove the category:

    But, I’m still stuck with removing the /blog out of https://www.apsltd.com/blog/

    I feel like I should clarify now also. This WordPress is installed in a subdomain to be the blog/content platford for our Magento website. I use James Kemp’s WMI to integrate them.
