    Haven’t found any instructions. Here’s what’s happening:

    1. “blog” still appears in urls on main site.
    2. The plugin is network activate.
    3. The plugin does not appear in the plugin list for the main site.
    4. When I go to permalinks setting in the main site, “blog” is still displayed in the urls for the various options.

I’ll bet I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t quite see what I need to do to fix it.

    Hi oldbrit,

The plugin should be active in your first blog – not in the network section. Though it is, it will not appear in the plugin list on the first blog (due to WordPress ‘feature’). Also, the blog slug will still appear in the permalink structure site due to hardcoded stuff in the WordPress-Core. But you shouldn’t be irritated about that.

    Hope this will help!

    Thomas

it works well, though you won’t see it in Permalink Settings check out your posts urls. Thanks HerrLlama!! I had a mini heart-attack when I found out about blog slug.

    Hi HerrLlama,
The plugin was working perfectly upon the switch to multisite but I created a new network and performed domain mapping and not it has stopped working.

Plugin is active on main site only & not network activated.

    Tried deactivating and activating again.

    What should I do?

Same problem. Installed on multisite main blog, using custom post types and it is not removing /blog from the url.
Did something break in recent WP upgrade?

Same problem – installed on multisite main blog, using custom post types and it is not removing /blog from the url.

I didn’t change anything and it suddenly works for me. Assuming it had something to do with changing permalinks back to postname and flushing. Though, I thought I tried that before.
Sorry I can’t be of help to anyone else experiencing this.

I updated the plugin the past days. I added an admin notice to explain the plugin at the permalink section. I hope that will help.
