• Is it possible to remove the blog feed all together on the front page, using this plugin, while running a featured slider?

I’ve tried changing the “Select Blog Feed Category:” to a category with no posts and it makes the site show “Nothing Found. Ready to publish your first post? Get started here.” where the blog feed normally is.

Thank you, especially since I’m not even sure if this plugin can do this. But either thanks for making this plugin, it’s awesome!

    Hello Tiffany,

Currently that is not possible with the plugin.

But there is a very simple way to achieve what you need – you may need to add a little CSS via a custom css plugin to fully get the page looking good.

    1) Create page – give it a title, select the full width template, check the box to make it true full width and save.

    2) Go to Settings >> Reading and choose Front page display a Static page and select the page created in step 1 from the drop down menu. Scroll down and save settings.

    3) Go back to the edit page for the new page and remove the title and save.

Now if you visit the site and provided you have your featured content set you should only see the slider/grid. You’ll also notice the Edit link plus some white space and this is where that little extra css comes in handy.

Hope I’ve given you a little bit of direction to get what you need. If however you need further assistance please feel free to post back with a link to the site and I’ll do my best to help.

    Regards,

Zulf, thank you so much for your help! It worked perfectly. Thank you!

Do you by chance know the css code I’ll need to enter to remove the extra white space?

    You are most welcome ??

Haven’t tinkered with that part yet Tiffany but let me put my thinking cap on and see what I can come up with ??

A link to the site would help or I’ll just have to give the code from my side of things and then you might need to make some minor adjustments – that be OK?

Unfortunately the site I’m working on is sensitive and I can’t open it to the public until a certain date. I’m sorry for sounding so mysterious.

But if you can give me a general CSS code for your end, I think I have enough skills to at least adjust it.

A huge thank you in advance, you’re being extremely helpful!
