remove “author’s” name
-
I use WordPress 5.0.2 and WordPress 2016 theme.
WordPress 5.0.2 uses Gutenberg.I want to remove the author name that appears before the list of categories and tags on posts in WordPress 2016. In the draft posts, the word “Author” appears by a drop down menu that lists names. I don’t want to use this drop down menu. There is no blank space in the drop down menu to let me choose no author.
I include the post’s author’s name in the story I publish; I just don’t want my name that is listed in the drop down menu to be on the post.
Am I supposed to add every author I publish to this drop down menu? I don’t want to have to do that. As the list of names grows, that would be a nightmare.
So, how do I deactivate the author selection so that no name appears before the tags and categories?
P.S. On my mobile website, sharenmcarthur appears after the title. On my desktop, as I stated above, it appears after the categories and tags on posts. However…I have discovered that sometimes my name appears and sometimes it doesn’t on my desktop web page. I know that sounds like it makes no sense, but it has occurred.
