Remove Author Byline from Instant Articles

  • Hey!

    I’ve started using the Instant Articles feature within his plugin and I’ve noticed that at the beginning of every post the author byline is added, which looks a little out of place in some of our articles.

    Is there a way we can remove this?

    I am just wondering, did it take much time to show the posts in the “development articles” or production articles?
    I used to use another plugin, but when I switched to this plugin, I don’t get any posts showing in the Facebook instant articles, although the url provided by the plugin has valid instant articles code.

    as for your question, I used to edit the articles directly from FB to modify or remove anything I don’t want, although this is a time consuming process.

    Hey @coptic-treasures,

    I used to use another plugin too. The Switch didn’t happen instantly, it actually seemed to work similar to when you first apply for Instant Articles in that a few posts need to be published before it works. It took maybe a day or two, then all of the articles were once again IA articles.

    Ahh yes, I suppose I could edit each post individually, though we roughly post 10+ posts a day so this might take some time aha.

    I’d definitely appreciate some more options for Instant Articles in this plugin ??

    I don’t have an Instant solution but I have created a ticket for this: https://github.com/ahmedkaludi/accelerated-mobile-pages/issues/1483

    We will definitely add this feature in the upcoming updates
