    Hello,

The WordPress plugin Hover Effects creates this ugly archive page and attachment pages on my site: https://www.yasbouw.nl/hover-effects/

Unfortunately, your plugin doesn’t pick them up, I can’t disable this page. Do you know of any way to remove this archive page?

    Thx!

Obviously the plugin uses a so called Custom Post Type. When creating a CPT there’s an option called has_archive. Setting this to TRUE creates an archive page. The default is FALSE. As a developer you have explicitly set it to TRUE if an archive page is needed. An archive seems not to make sense in case of the plugin you’re using. So as far as I can judge without knowing the plugin this is an error and should be fixed by the author of that plugin.

I’ve already thought about adding a feature to remove archive pages from Custom Post Types but I decided against it because a CPT should only create an archive if it is necessary.

Please contact the author of the other plugin. Maybe he’s willing to fix it. Keep me informed.
