    Hello
    I use an external service for showing home listings in my wordpress site that add a lot of pages in my website and I can’t edit them in through wordpress dashboard.

    this pages added to my yost sitemap and I want to remove all of them.
    they have a specific prefix for example:
    site.com/listing-report/listing1
    site.com/listing-report/listing2

    Hi @naderi9

    We aren’t familiar with your setup but just to clarify, these home listing pages aren’t editable in the WordPress dashboard back-end?

    We do know that if you set a post or page to ‘noindex’, it would add a noindex tag and remove it from the sitemap – https://yoast.com/help/how-do-i-noindex-urls/

    You can also take a look at our developer filters to further customize the sitemap output (such as excluding a specific post) – https://developer.yoast.com/features/xml-sitemaps/api/

    Yes these listing pages aren’t editable in wordpress backend and also they don’t have ID to use below method:
    https://developer.yoast.com/features/xml-sitemaps/api/

    This is listing pages meta tag:
    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex”>
    <meta name=”description” content=”” /><meta name=’robots’ content=’index, follow, max-image-preview:large, max-snippet:-1, max-video-preview:-1′ />

    First line is added by external service and second line is added by yoast and also this pages exist in sitemap

    @naderi9

    Justt to ensure if those listing pages are available or do create a certain custom post type, we expect the option to hide them from the sitemap will be available under Search Appearance > Content Types(tab). Do you see any relevant custom post type for that listing page?

    Hi,

    Without investigating this further for those pages that are being added externally, and are appearing in the sitemap, we won’t be able to give any more solid advice here.

    You may want to consider Yoast SEO Premium so we can take a closer look at this. Otherwise, we’ll keep this forum thread open for any other users who may want to provide suggestions or advice on this.
