Remove ads from a theme

Where did you get this theme?

I just got it from the Themes section under the personalize page of WordPress.

Assuming what you mean is that you installed it just now from the WP Repository (and it was not already installed at site, and not the active theme), then I doubt that the theme is the issue. Either your site is compromised or you have a plugin that is causing the issue.

Very odd. The host that I’m using (000webhost) claims to be ad free so it must be a plug-in. You can take a look for yourself at my site here: https://iaptech128.webuda.com.

Please deactivate plugins one at a time, make sure to clear any server cache in use, clear local browser cache, then reload site and see if the pop ads go away. Repeat until all plugins are deactivated to test if it is a plugin issue.

Thanks for the help. I tried changing the theme and disabling all of the plug-ins and nothing. From the Microsoft link that you shared it looks like there is something wrong with the host, or there are ads with my hosting plan.
Could I just delete those last three lines of code on the site? Would that get rid of the ads?

You will have to ask the host. They appear to have ‘free’ hosting plans and that is where they appear to include the script which outputs the ads.

Is there some sort of plug-in that I can install on the site to block the ads?
