Remove "add media" buttons from the "send" PM editor

  • Hello,

    Thanks for developing this plugin, it works well for me but I would like to know if there’s a way to remove the”add media” buttons from the “send” PM editor.

    I don’t want my users to have access to my media or upload media through the editor.

    I only want to remove the “add media” buttons from this plugin, not from the other editors on the “pages” or “posts”.

    Your help is very appreciated!

  • Just look for this code of wp-content/plugins/private-messages-for-wordpress/inc/send-page.php

    <?php wp_editor( $content, ‘rw-text-editor’, $settings = array( ‘textarea_name’ => ‘content’) );?>

    and change it for this one

    <?php wp_editor( $content, ‘rw-text-editor’, $settings = array( ‘textarea_name’ => ‘content’, ‘media_buttons’ => false ) );?>
