REMOVE a line?
-
Our WordPress forum is currently setup, using the “Whitehouse” theme. I’ve noticed that when WordPress was first installed and a theme in use, that the starting page to our WP board, has a line at the top. This line gives the following information: date, category, & poster. I’m guessing this would happen, whichever theme we used? It seems that after first installing WP, it sets up the opening page to a board, as a “post” instead of a “page”. (I only say/think this, because I don’t see this line on any other pages.) I didn’t see any other way to do this, other than to edit the first page the installation gave me. Surely – if I’d made a new page, instead of editing of deleting the ‘opening’ page the installation setup, we would have a blank page in our board?
I have tried making a new page with the same information. However – all that does, is leave a second similarly named link in the top navigation bar.
Can anyone please tell me:
1. How can I remove this unwanted line, on our opening page?
2. Or – how I can change this opening page’s status from being a “post” to a “page”?
I would welcome some input on this. Our WP board, can be found at: https://www.tallclub.com
