remove a column

    In the HoPE theme, is it easy to remove one of the side columns? I prefer a 2 column layout, but this theme is beautiful.

  • Yes its simple enough to change it to a two-column theme.

    You just need to edit sidebar.php and remove the closing div of id=”sidebar-1″ and the opening div of id=”sidebar-2″ which will make it one sidebar. Then in style.css edit the content, secondary (this is the width for 2 sidebars so you will only need to make it the same as sidebar with padding) and sidebar id’s width to compensate for the extra space.
