• Hello

    Is there a plugin to remove a field/fields from the Settings-General page in the back end of WordPress? I need to remove the “Anyone Can Register” label and checkbox. I know I could just take it out of the settings.php file, but then it would get written over with upgrades.

    Thanks for any help!

  • You could possibly create a plugin to hide it via CSS.

    Hello, Esmi;

    Thank you for the reply. Does anyone know if there is a way to do it without going to such extremes? Or, if I need to write a plugin to do it, I’m not sure how, since there doesn’t seem to be an individual class pertaining just to the “anyone can register” area.

    Thanks for your help and anyone who might know a different way.
