• I am trying to customize the widgets that appear in the sidebar of the Cordobo Green Park 2 theme, which overall is great.

However I can’t figure out how to remove the default items that appear there, specifically the list of pages on the site and the blogroll. I am sure there is code that can be removed in the editor but I can’t figure it out. Others have clearly done it from sites I have seen under this theme!

Any help greatly appreciated – site is worldoutreachfoundation.com

    Thanks

  • Have you tried adding any widgets to the sidebar using Admin/Appearance/Widgets?

I tried that and they do add, but the default ones don’t go away! In other words the pages are listed twice, one above the other.

I am thinking there is something in the code to stop that as I do want to make use of the widget function as it looks good.

    Thanks!

Try dropping a copy of your theme’s sidebar.php file into the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. Perhaps someone will be able to spot the problem and suggest a solution.
