    Hi,

Where in UC are you seeing resulting links which are incorrect?

    Many thanks,
    David

The site I’m trying to manage is https://viewsoftheroad.com. WP is installed in the sub-directory “main” but the index file is in the DocumentRoot so all URLs are relative to viewsoftheroad.com, not viewsoftheroad.com/main. At no point is “main” part of a correct url.

But, when I paste the Updraft key into UC, it lists the site as https://viewsoftheroad/main. All urls from UC now look like https://viewsoftheroad.com/main/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php which is incorrect.

    Hi,

What I was asking was, please can you give an example of an operation you perform that fails? i.e. Where in UC do you see a URL which, when you click on it, it fails to perform the desired operation?

BTW, https://viewsoftheroad.com/main/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php is indeed where your admin-ajax.php file is found. That’s correct. If you click on it, you’ll get a response of “0”, which is what it (by default) does. Whereas, if you attempt to visit https://viewsoftheroad.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, you’ll get a 404 not found.

When I add the key, I get a pop-up window from the remote site that has a 404 error. After that all UC tasks generate a Communications Error

And, my apologies. I mixed up content urls with management urls. You are, of course, correct about the location of the wp-admin files

OK. It seems that you have a communications problem, but it’s not related to the WP URL, which is correct. Have you tried using the connection wizard, and following the steps in the guide that is linked if there’s a connection error?

I have. But, I assumed that the 404 from the original pop-up was due to a url issue. Since that’s not the case, I’ll beat on the communications issue some more and see what I can find. Thanks
