Remote posting

Not sure if this exists, but I thought about how great it would be if the members of my website were able to post remotely. I know there is a way to do it with email but only as text posts. My site has a google map where the posts are attached to (fields such as longitude, latitude, images, content, etc). Any ideas? Maybe a new product for a developer?
