    Hi @mojarakis

That is good for when the job listing submission doesn’t require the person to work from a traditional office environment, but rather from home (remotely).

    See: https://www.remoteyear.com/blog/what-is-remote-work

    Cheers!

    I see… THX
If I select the field, it doesn’t appear in the posted job.

@mojarakis — it sounds like the feature was rushed, and not really fully implemented; see discussion here about additional improvements to it (and feel free to chime in there, too): https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/pull/2290

    Hi @mojarakis ,

Yes, typically when a released feature isn’t working correctly, we will release a plugin update. This is after the issue is identified, corrected, and tested, so we don’t have an estimated time on when that will be, currently.

    Best,
    Cena

    Hi @mojarakis

If I select the field, it doesn’t appear in the posted job.

It sounds like you need it to have a label on the listing that makes it clear its a “Remote”job listing.

Admittedly, I am not sure if it should display the label (user-facing), but you could add that as a job type or tag, to have it displayed on the job.

The code, as far as I can see, adds _remote_position for the structured data, which helps Google and other search engines understand certain information about your jobs, such as the type, the location, the name of the employer, and so on.

    Cheers!

    Hallo @rynald0s,
Thanks for the answer. It’s a little confusing for me. When the customer selects the Remote radio button, it should be displayed on the job page. The tag or job type are something else again, aren’t they?

It sounds like you need it to have a label on the listing that makes it clear its a “Remote”job listing.
Where I have to label??? Why is the label missing?

@mojarakis — when it is checked, it does add “(Remote)” underneath / after the entry for the location of the job of the Jobs page and also on the single job listing; see the example “A Remote Job” listing that I created on the WP Job Manager demo site: https://demo-wcpl.wpjobmanager.com/jobs

Additionally, if job seekers search for “remote” in the “Location” search bar filter on the Jobs page, the remote job will come-up, as a result of the option being selected.

@rynald0s and @cena — when new features like this are implemented, could part of the process be adding documentation about them (to wpjobmanager.com/documentation)? Beyond just explaining what it does visually / functionally on the front-end, knowing what features do functionally “behind-the-scenes” (like what @rynald0s mentioned about the feature adding structured data to the post to help search engines identify the remote nature of the job) is really helpful to have in the documentation.

    Hi @mojarakis

By default, the “Remote” label should be visible on the specific job listing that has that field checked, as @hastibe had mentioned; however, it’s possible that your theme may overwrite or prevent it from showing correctly.

@hastibe I appreciate your feedback regarding the documentation for new features and will certainly circle this to our team ??

THX for your support. Now I understand the problem. Yes I am using the paid Theme “Workscout” and will talk with the theme support.. it looks like the new field “remote” is not included in the theme

Thanks for letting us know that this involves the WorkScout theme and for marking the thread as resolved.

If you have additional issues in the future with WP Job Manager, feel free to open a new thread.

How translate this “<small>Select if this is a remote position.</small>” with loko translate we cant translate this.

    Hi @pinkfloyd666,

If it isn’t showing in Loco Translate, you can translate it using a custom code snippet similar to this example:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/wpjm-core-snippets/

For the ‘Change location anywhere to remote’ section. This page also has some tips on different translation options:
