Remote edit – Where do snippets reside

    Hey Snippets

    I am trying to locate my snippet files, since I wish to edit them in a remote code editor, for more functionality and error correction. I cannot find the files, so where should I look?

    Snippets currently reside in the database, not in local files.

    We’re looking at switching over to executing snippets from local files at some point in the future, but I feel like we’re probably still going to store the snippet information itself in the database.

    Can I ask which remote code editor you’re planning on using? I’m wondering if there’s still a way of achieving this workflow using some sort of save hook or similar.

    I am using Visual Studio Code. Remote access has been a disaster but it should sort out asap.

    not being able to code remote is really not great since the editor is so limited. Just find and replace is vital. Auto bracket endings.

    theme.json is a must in WP today

    I am in the process of setting up a child theme for functions and style with remote access and then experimental in code snippets from WP backend.
