Remembering Info Entered in Form Fields (Contact Form 7)

Does anyone have any insight about a plugin or hack that could be used to retain the information entered into the form fields on a contact form?

If a user clicks the back button, or accidentally refreshes the page they loose all of the info entered. Most major e-commerce sites will remember most of the information remembered if the page is left and then returned to.

Is something like this accomplished through cookies?
