    Hi,

    Rel=”publisher” ties your whole website to a Google+ business page. Author boxes on the other hand are used for… well, authors.

    If you wish to have your website connected to your Google+ page, you should try installing WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast, then go to Titles & Metas > Home > Google Publisher Page.
