    Hi,

I am not sure, where else to ask this, but it’s quite a general issue I am facing. I just realized that rel=”nofollow” is not working on my blog. It just disappears when I inspect the <a> element in browser. I have no idea why this is happening. I am manually inserting the nofollow attribute

    <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.maxfashion.in/in/en/c/maxwomen-tops-tunics" target="_blank" > buy tunics online</a>

And in the browser it shows up like

    <a href="https://www.maxfashion.in/in/en/c/maxwomen-tops-tunics" target="_blank" > buy tunics online</a>
    The rel attribute disappears.

    Please help.

  • <li>It’s can be a cached version, clear the cache and try different browser.

If you have already tried this, then check for plugins interference, disable all plugins and try it.

Still issue is there, then try to change theme and try it.

Still issue is there, then change your browser and check again.

If it is still there, install WordPress on local machine, get backup from main site into the local wordpress and try these steps again.

    Hey there,

Edit the link as HTML and then add rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer".
Check this video if you are not able to understand what I said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ08tcKc_Vo.
Let me know if it works for you.

    Thank you very much @studboo

Going by your suggestions, deactivating plugins and reactivating them sorted the issue, Now as all the plugins have been re-activated, the issue no longer persist. Could not figure out which plugin was causing the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion @naveenkharwar , I was implementing the nofollow link as shown in the video already.

    The issue has been resolved.

    Regards,
    Nisha
