Relink image after convertion ?

  • Hello,

    Shortpixel looks really what I was looking for but after converting all PNG images to jpg, all posts with a link to the original PNG now present a broken link !

    Is there any way Shortpixel could relink image after conversion for those that were attached to a post ?

    It’s not dramatic but as your plugin can replace an image in media library and relink to the new image, I thought the conversion was doing the same…

    Hey @ecollart – thanks for your message, sorry to hear about this issue.

    The links to the PNG images should have been updated to JPEG after the conversion. If this didn’t work in your case then please contact us directly mentioning this ticket.
    Please make sure you provide us with access and also a case where we can replicate the issue.

    I manually redo all relinkings so there is nothing left to show…

    Problem eventually could be caused by a conflict with “Enable Media Replace” plugin I installed but didn’t use so far yet….

    Let me know if I can do something more to help you finding the source of the problem

    @ecollart – thank you for your follow-up.

    It would be very helpful for us if you could find a way to replicate the issue and then provide temporary admin access to a staging environment so we can look at this and find a fix.
    Please note that Enable Media Replace is also supported by ShortPixel so we could help you with that as well if you find the issue there.
