relevanssi_the_tags displayed as strings

When I use relevanssi_the_tags, it shows up as strings. Here’s an example:

copper, marble, plants

It does the same thing with “echo relevanssi_highlight_terms(get_the_tag_list(”, ‘, ‘), get_search_query());”. Any ideas?

I saw on https://www.relevanssi.com/user-manual/functions/#relevanssi_the_tags someone had a similar issue and resolved it.

“Yes. It worked! Doing this solved the problem:

$tagList = strip_tags(get_the_tag_list(”,’, ‘,”));

And then I’ve put $tagList as an argument inside relevanssi_highlight_terms() .
