I’ve been using Relevanssi for almost 10 years on our site, and am having problems like I’ve never seen before. When I perform a search using the custom search function Mikko created for us, the result is either a blank page or a page with no search results at all. Using Premium version 1.14 because all newer versions return the same results when I try to activate them:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare relevanssi_show_matches() (previously declared in /home/whiskycast/whiskycast.com/www/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi-premium/lib/common.php:93) in /home/whiskycast/whiskycast.com/www/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi/lib/common.php on line 55

It’s either line 55 or line 80 depending on which version I try to use. Any suggestions???

    Thanks!

    Mark

You’re getting this error because you’re trying to use both the free version of Relevanssi and Relevanssi Premium at the same time. You can’t have both of them active at the same time. Deactivate the free version first, then activate the Premium.

Tried that. Now, it just returns no responses, but doesn’t crash the site.

1.14 is six years old and no longer supported (or safe to use). If you don’t have a newer version of Premium, please switch to the latest free version.

Does using the latest version of free Relevanssi help? If not, please share the custom code you’re using.

Switched to 4.18 of the free version with no change. The only custom code we’re using is the special plugin you wrote for us years ago to limit searches to specific Custom Post Types…

Can you please share the custom code? Since it’s from years ago, it may be outdated by now, but I can’t tell unless I see it.

Could you also check the Query Monitor query output?
