Relevanssi not searching titles

“All”, “around” and “us” are all stopwords. If you search for apples of gold, you’ll see searching for taxonomy titles does work.

Oh! So we remove all stop words then?

Why do stop words exist

No, don’t remove all stop words. They are important to make the search run faster, reduce the amount of garbage results and to save database space. See more information in Wikipedia.

Perhaps just remove “around” from the stopwords and reindex, that’s probably enough to solve this problem.

Do you know of keyword highlight alternatives that we could custom code because the S&F won’t pass it

Also how do we set higher weight for taxonomy , I tried increase number but still same results

weight setting not working it should show taxonomy first

Check the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). Do you get the same results there? If the weight setting has no effect, even if you make ridiculously big changes in the weights (say, put a weight 10000 for the taxonomy), then the results are not ordered by relevance. The weight setting does work, it’s just that something can override it.

Its not even working in admin search . Showing posts above taxonomy instead I have added more weight to taxonomy

Could you please post a screenshot that would show where the taxonomy term matches appear on the page, please? Now all I see is three very relevant results. How much weight have you added to the taxonomy term matches?
