    LOVE Events Made Easy!.

    Installed this plugin, and clicked Activate – got error:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/mydirectory/public_html/mywebsitename.ca/wp-content/plugins/eme-sync-facebook-events/eme-sync-facebook-events.php on line 137

    You’ve been hit by the facebook api restriction. See the description of this plugin:

    Uses the Facebook PHP API, which requires at least PHP 5.4 to work.

    So upgrade your php to something more recent and you’re good to go.

    I do have Current: PHP 5.5 also tried PHP 5.4 with same error message.

    Any suggestions?

    How did you test your php version?

    Hi Franky,
    I looked in my cpanel, I can upgrade and downgrade my php version as well.

    Can you check by creating a php file and calling phpinfo?
    This:

    <?php
phpinfo();
?>

    should be enough, save it in a php file, upload to your web dir and call it in your browser. I’m guessing that the version shown in your cpanel is not the version your browser is running.
