• Hey folks and hope you had a great holiday weekend! The bulk of us here at Modern Tribe enjoyed a long three-day weekend to celebrate U.S. Independence Day, but we were able to power down our grills and get a fresh new release out the door for you.

The Events Calendar 4.2.2 is now available. This is a maintenance release that addresses a handful of bugs that were reported here in the forums. If you’re keeping track, we aim for about three maintenance releases per cycle, which puts us on track for one more before we gear up to ship our next major version of the plugin.

Before we look at what’s changed, please do use caution when updating plugins on your site. We expect a simple update for those of you running version 4.2 and above. If you’re running anything lower, please read through our past release notes, make backups of your site and database, and test the latest versions in a development environment before deploying it to your live site. We know lots of folks make customizations to the plugin and we’d hate to see those lost for any reason.

    Now on to what’s new!

    • Fix – Small CSS issue on admin welcome page
    • Fix – Month view on mobile device screens were missing links to previous and next months
    • Fix – Reimport of updated CSV removes featured image
    • Fix – Fixed the issue that would make multiple organizers details disappear when trying to submit invalid event data using the Community Events add-on
    • Fix – Added a check to avoid being unable to switch view when Filter Bar plugin is active and at least one field is set to auto-complete mode
    • Fix – Only add the events custom post type to the tag archive queries and not custom queries with tags
    • Fix – When using the filter tribe_events_excerpt_allow_shortcode shortcodes will be processed in event excerpts in list views

  • Hello, I recently updated my license keys for both the Calendar Pro and the Ticket Plus add-on. We previously were using the WooCommerce add-on and updated to the Event Tickets Plus. However, I have not been able to use the new update due to the fact that an error message keeps reoccurring, which shuts down my entire website. The issue is caused by this missing file: the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php

The way to bring my site back online is through deactivating the plug-in update and going back to using the WooCommerce Add-on. The other issue I’m facing is that the site tells me that I need to update my “The Event Calendar” plug-in, but I find that I have the latest version when I click on the link to update.

Bottom line is that I was hoping to somehow get a representative of the company on the phone so that I can speak with someone on how best to remedy these issues.
