• Hey folks, we’re interrupting our regularly scheduled programming to let you know we released The Events Calendar 4.2.1.1 today.

If you’re wondering about all the dots and ones in that version number, that’s because this is a hot fix that to address an issue that was reported to us here in the forums. We normally ship maintenance releases for our products on a schedule of every two weeks, but thought this issue was significant enough to get a fix in your hands before the next release.

So what did we fix? There was an issue where the library of translation files we load in The Events Calendar was not properly being loaded or read. This is a big deal, particularly for any site that uses a non-English translation of our plugins because it essentially leaves the calendar in a non-translated state.

The latest version corrects this issue and are available right now. Of course, if you have automatic updates enabled, then you will be able to update directly from the WordPress admin. We expect this to be a simple update with no breaking changes. However, if you are updating from a version lower than 4.2, then we highly encourage you to test the updates in a safe development environment before rolling it out to a live production site and read our release notes as well.

  • The calendar plugin works fine so long as I am logged into my website. However, when I go to the website without logging in, the events I have created and published are not listed under Up Coming Events. What am I missing?
    The website is nytaxaide.org
    Wordpress Theme: Twenty Ten
Plugin: The Events Calendar Version 4.2.1.1
Secondary Widget Area Events List: Upcoming Events
