• We just released The Events Calendar 4.1.4 and it’s ready for your updating enjoyment. We’re excited about this release because, while it is minor, it marks the last in a series of maintenance releases before we gear up for The Events Calendar 4.2…but more on that later. ??

So what’s new in this release? Let’s take a look.

    • Fix: Improve accuracy of list view pagination after switching from month view
    • Tweak: Give the multi-organizer form ‘sticky’ properties so values persist even if the submission is initially rejected
    • Tweak: Resolved minor CSS issues in the welcome page

As always, we do strongly recommend that you use caution when updating the plugins, just like you would with any other WordPress update. We consider these minor updates and expect smooth sailing for those of you already running 4.1 or above, but please do backup your database and files to be on the safe side, especially if you have made customizations to any of the calendar’s core files.

  • I just updated to 4.1.4 at https://fiddlersmusicbar.com/livemusic/. The default view is list and it used to display body text or excerpts in the list view. As of this morning, it no longer does that. All it has now is the event info and the Find Out More link. How do I restore this to show body/excerpt text and featured image please?

I’m using a plug-in called Improved Include Page to bring in data from a Page and it’s the combination of that and the udpate to the Events Calendar plugin that’s caused the breakage.

Failing that, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of the Events Calendar plugin?

    Hi @camuel,

So sorry for the trouble updating!

You can certainly roll back to any previous version of the plugin here:

If you’re looking for support, it would be awesome if you could open up a new thread so we can help you there.

    Thanks so much!
    Geoff

I’d like to report what I consider a bug with this latest update, that I’ve been trying to figure out for a couple of hours now.

I’m trying to use the lists view – which works fine for the initial page of upcoming events – however when I go to previous events…it appears events are no longer sorting by date, but by post ID – this is why there’s no rhyme to how they appear. Sometimes postID makes sense in a calendar series – most of the time in fact. Since you make a new event, one after the other. But when you add new events out of order, then they appear in the past, out of order.

I have screenshots that can confirm this behavior.

I’m using the latest version of the plugin, which I keep up to date, due to past security issues with this plugin – so I’d like to not roll back. I’m also fully up to date on WordPress.

Hi, Im having trouble with the ical export at the bottom a single paged event it just redirects back to that page instead of downloading the event. Can someone please help me! website is wiccny.org

    Hi @mtnhutmedia and @wiccny,

Sorry to hear you’re both having issues here! Would you mind posting new threads from the main forum page rather than replying to an existing thread? We want to make sure that we don’t miss anyone when making the rounds here, and it’s much easier to follow up when each customer report has its own unique thread!

Before posting, please be sure to update your plugins (as we just pushed a major update) and, if problems should persist, please run through our conflict testing steps and provide as much information as you can to help us replicate the issue. That will help us get started quickly.

    Thank you!

    Hi,
Has anyone fixed the problem with the out of order events? I have the latest version, 4.4.5 and I went through the conflict testing steps. If I go to previous events, they are in order by year but not new to old. I really need help with this I have a Board of Directors that is not happy.
    Thank you
