Last week we published a major release to The Events Calendar in version 4.3. We also launched a new product, Event Aggregator, which is a service bundled directly into the plugin.

Hot on the heels of that release, we’re happy to announce the first Maintenance Release of the 4.3 release cycle. Maintenance Releases are smaller updates between major updates that are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small but meaningful improvements.

To see all of the changes included this Maintenance Release, check out the changelog below:

    • Fix — Resolved a bug where Venue and Organizers urls were been generated incorrectly
    • Fix — Pagination links on Month view are updating correctly
    • Fix — Resolved the support for translated event category archive slug that could lead to broken links on the front-end while using WPML
    • Fix — Resolved a bug where searching for past events in the List view would always yield no results
    • Fix — Resolved an issue where long file names would break plugin updates on some Windows installations
    • Tweak — Improve <samp>tribe_create_event</samp> documentation (props to customer Keith!)

As always, we recommend testing updates in a safe development environment rather than pushing them to your live site. Oh yeah, and definitely make backups of your WordPress files and database because, hey, it’s better to be safe than safe. We expect a smooth update for anything already running The Events Calendar 4.3 and above, but anyone updating from earlier versions will definitely want to review our release notes and test safely for possible breaking changes.
