Relative links in Elementor

  • Hello,

    I recently discovered that all my relative links in elementor are not working anymore.
    I my gallery page, I have images with Link=”custom URL” and in the link field just “./<permalink>”.
    Apparently, since a recent modification (maybe not because of Elementor), clicking on image tries to open the page “./<permalink>” without the website url before…

    Only way I found now is to update all my pages with the hard-coded full URL. Is there a way to switch back to relative?

    For a specific example, in the gallery page, my image had a link ‘../recent-uk” and now I have to set it to “gabriellapelle.com/recent-uk”

  • I’m in the exact same boat here! A coworker just brought it to my attention.

    I think it has to do with this update released 2 days ago, but I don’t have enough knowledge to know why it would break relative links.

    My company has used Elementor now for 2 years and have over 50 sites; it’s going to take a LOT of work to go through and update all of this.

    Need help this fixed, Elementor folks!

    I’m going to try to bump this issue, as it doesn’t seem to be addressed yet here or on GitHub.

    I’m experiencing the same issue on two sites that previously worked.

    The relative URLs worked with Elementor 2.9.10 and earlier. The breaking change is with the 2.9.11 update. (I was able to test this on a staging site that hadn’t updated to 2.9.11 yet.) Version Control under Elementor/Tools has a rollback to 2.9.9. but not 2.9.10.

    This issue has not been resolved.
    This problem is serious for us, who have created and managed over 100 sites.

    Please fix the bug as soon as possible.

    Was excited to see a new version released today, only to be disappointed that this issue was not addressed.

    Elementor support, where ya’ll at on this?!

    Did this ever get fixed? I just noticed the same on my website and my links are all broken.
