Related Products

  • Hi,

    How does Kadence theme decide which products to consider “Related” when turning on “Related products” in customizer?

    Note that this “Related products” section am talking about is not the same one coming from woocommerce’s “Linked products” section, adding products to “cross-sells” or “upsells” in woocommerce linked products would add additional row of “Related products” in individual product page.

    Hey, thanks for reaching out.

    The related products within Kadence display products that share a category with the product you’re viewing.

    Products sharing the same categories will be displayed in the related posts carousel.

    Any idea if there is a way to select which products to show up as “related” other than selecting generally from the same category?

    I understand that woocommerce have its functionality where I can turn Kadence’s “Related” section and use woocommerce’s instead, but somehow Woocommerce’s “Related” section shows 4 products in a row and I like to show 3 as I do from the customizer.

    It’s best to clarify that Kadence only provides controls to show or hide the woocommerce related products. Kadence does not determine or control how products are selected as related. That is woocommerce.

    If you need to select specific products using the linked products option inside each product would be your best choice since it’s built for that exact purpose.
