Related Posts Previews

  • Hi,

    We just resolved another issue with author tags but just noticed a problem with our ‘related’ posts section at the end of each blog. When I go to ‘customise’, it shows previews and pictures of the ‘related blog posts’, but on the normal, published site, we just have three links to different posts – so on the page I’ve linked, it’s productivity, Youtube and then body themed posts. We used to get previews, but don’t know why it’s no longer working, especially when all the correct boxes are ticked in the ‘customise’ sections.

    You don’t have a “Featured Images” on posts, because of it related posts shows only titles and links. You can disable related posts option, navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Single Post and in option “Related Posts – Display” set none. But if you want to have this option you should set Featured Images on posts to show images, as I said.

    Hi Vako,

    I took screenshots of the ‘customise’ page but can’t seem to post them here. The problem is whether ‘Related Posts – Display’ is set to ‘none’ or ‘Related’, nothing changes. When I change it to ‘none’, we still just have the links there.

    Before, we used to have it set to ‘Related’ and even without a featured image, we still had excerpts of the related blog post under the link.I don’t know why that’s changed so suddenly, and I wonder if it’s because of the recent update.

    And yes, I have pressed ‘publish’ and the changes still don’t show up.
