Related Posts Plugin Incompatibility

  • Hi,

    I tested all related posts plugins and are incompatible with the event calendar plugin.

    I tested “WordPress Related Posts”, “Related Posts by Zemanta”, “YARPP”, “Shareholic” and others.

    If the event calendar plugin is disabled the related posts plugins work well.

    If the related posts plugins are disabled the event calendar plugin works well.

    Both NO.

    The site works, I can read all posts and pages but I get blank page in the dashboard. So I need to delete the plugin by ftp.

  • Hi venethia: that’s a shame – are the problems identical with all of those plugins? Can you share some more details and examples of what exactly is happening?

    Yes, the problems are identical with all of those plugins.

    When “The Event Calendar” and one related posts plugin (YARPP, Wp Related Posts, Zemanta, Shareaholic) are both active, the following things happen :

    • The site is visible, you can read all posts and pages
    • The dashboard returns a blank page

    Already tried to deactivate all plugins one by one but the problem is with the event plugin.

    I can resolve deleting the event plugin by ftp. But I need it, I’d like to buy the pro version, if it works for me.

    Hi venethia, I wonder if this relates to a current bug with post tags. Can you try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file and see if that helps?
