  • Hey, thanks for reaching out & sorry for the late reply (this summer time took its toll — sorry)!

We had some problems with one of our databases app. 13 days ago which caused some of our users this problem you’re mentioning, but most of them are reporting back that the desktop counter reseted not that long afterwards.

Is this true, can you confirm this? Is the counter back on or does the problem persist?

Let me know — I’ll gladly help!

Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo

    Hi Silvo,
Yes, my problem is still persisting. Yesterday I deleted the plug-in and reinstalled it (WordPress Related Posts. It still shows 0 for Click Through Rate and Page Views under Desktop. As I mentioned, mobile stats are tracking fine and the “Clicks (30 days)” is working for both.
Thanks for any help and for getting back to me. I LOVE my Zemanta!
    Sally

Hey Sally, thanks for the kind words, we appreciate it, really! ??

But this problem seems to be bugging us, to be frank. We are still working on that database failure, that caused you these problems, and we think it is also going to take us a while to get them back sorted.

Allow me to get back to you as soon as I find out more! And thanks for your continuous patience!

    Take care,
    Silvo

Hey Sally, I’m afraid the only solution for you right now is to switch to our other related posts plugin called ‘Related Posts by Zemanta’, which is basically the same as the one you are already using, but since it’ll give you a whole new blog ID, that counter should start over from the beginning.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any questions — I’m here to help! Take care!

    Best,
    Silvo

    Hi Silvo,
I was about to find time to switch to your referred related posts plug in and yesterday my Desktop stats was suddenly working! ??
So, I will keep the current plug in and hope for the best.
    Thanks for your help.

Hey Sally, that’s great news, really glad to hear that! ??

I’m pretty sure we made the right corrections to our current database, which is responsible for your stats, so I’m pretty confident that this won’t happen again. But yes, let’s hope for the best! ??

As always — if you have any questions or if you stumble upon any problems (let’s hope not though!), do not hesitate to let me know! I’ll gladly help!

Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo
