    Hi all,
In one of my WordPress sites I had previously installed the WP Mail SMPT addon for sending emails, but I have removed it and installed the Post SMPT, which is the one I use on the rest of my WordPress sites without any problem. But on this specific website, after configuring Post SMTP as I usually do with Amazon SES, the test is returning the message rejected message: Email address is not verified. The following identities failed the check in region EU-WEST-1 <user_X> <mail_address_X>.
I have already registered in Amazon SES the domain from which I want to launch the emails, which matches the sender’s email address setting in Post SMTP. But it seems that another address is being taken as a possible sender, the previously called mail_address_X which, it is not registered in Amazon SES, causing this failure. My question is: considering that mail_address_X is not configured in Post SMTP, where is Post SMTP getting it from?
    Thanks. Pedro

  • Hi @pgago,

Sorry that I am only just getting around to reading your forum post and replying to you. I have been super busy lately, and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to respond.

That error is being thrown from Amazon SES. You need to check that you have verified the outgoing/sending email or domain in the AWS console. Unfortunately we are not able to provide support with that, you would need to talk to the team at AWS.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
