• Hi, I have installed WordPress 5.4 in localhost (Debian 10, Apache2, PHP 7.3)
Everything is Okay, But when reinstall WordPress update with Firefox after few seconds (About 5 to 20) the connection will close by browser.
In Chromium there is not any error, But I think their use two different methods to keep connection alive.
I checked the Network tab in Developers Tools at both.
In Firefox the connection header has timeout of=5, and its from update-core.php and its waiting to show header until connection will close without any response.
But in Chromium connection does not close.
I will paste both browser network requests and information.
If someone can test it to reproduce the problem. Thanks.

    Firefox ESR 68.6.1esr (64-bit)
Chromium 80.0.3987.149 (Developer Build) built on Debian 10.3, running on Debian 10.3 (64-bit)

    Chromium HAR file: https://file.io/ZANPPv

Should not be any problem with Firefox,

try starting it without extensions (Safe mode) or with default settings

Hi @fierevere , Thanks for your reply,
I have tested problem in Firefox Safe mode and the problem is still alive.
I enabled WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG, But I can not find any log file in /wp-content.
Also may help to say after close connection I wait for maybe reinstall process still working in background, But after wait more than 10 minutes updatecore.lock option in database was not deleted.
