  • I can’t understand why a simple get picture cant’ be loaded because they say “The free version of the plugin can sometimes have trouble with pulling avatar images from Hotel reviews. This is working in the Pro version of the plugin.”, so they want to force you to pay to load profile images. It’s very ridiculous. You have to say AT THE BEGGINING to avoid people waste their time. If you want to show the tripadvisor reviews as they showing you, just note that you will not be able to load their profiles pictures, but you can pay to do this basic function works again. If you want to show only text, go ahead, if you not, don’t waste your time. Anyway, you can try older versions that actually works.

    It’s a little more complicated than that. The plugin can download pictures from some Hotel TripAdvisor pages, but not all. On top of that TripAdvisor constantly makes changes that affect the plugin. I do my best to keep it working with all of TripAdvisor’s changes. The note about the Pro version is not to force you to buy it. It simply is meant to state that it is currently working in the Pro version. The reason is that the Pro version is integrated with a 3rd party review service that can download the pictures.

    Is not true, the plugin can’t download any image in recent plugin versions (when you say “but not at all” I think on”some images can be loaded”). I’ve tried a lot deleting and loading the reviews again, and never load any image. When I try with old version of plugin, I can load pictures again.

    Post the link to the TripAdvisor page and I’ll do some testing. Which older version of the plugin is working?

    I’ve tried 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.0, and 3.9. None of them will grab the profile images for me. I’m not sure why it would work for you and not me. I’ll keep messing with the current version, but Attraction reviews are really tough to get the images.
