Regret installing it

    I regret the day I installed this plugin. This plugin is the source of my constant headache.
    If you want to put a paragraph and an image to a page, you’ll be fine. But this plugin cannot handle anything more complex. Sure there are options for them, but they will constantly break. Functions doesnt do what they are required to do. I try to resize a column and two random content blocks appear out of nowhere and break my layout. Somehow someday I built a layout and now I cannot edit it. If I add anything to it, it will only break and mess up the page.

    If you are planning on choosing a visual editor, I suggest you keep yourself far away from this one. And from wordpress also if you still can.

    As others have mentioned, 5 star ratings are likely from the author which is sad.

    While I do agree with you about the headaches. I too have suffered my fair share at the hands of this plugin I do not believe that the plugin is worth one star. I personally would give it 4 maybe 4.5 (But I can see where you are coming from, there have been a many a times I have been frustrated too)

    Even the desktop side menu was made entirely with Visual Composer’s custom CSS and Javascript options. I think it shows that it is pretty great for more than just images, text paragraphs. But that is just my experience with it and my opinion.

    What issue were you having with the columns?

    The columns can be created in rows. Take a look at the inspector, it is possible you may have more than one column that is then jumping up to fill the now free space.
