Regression in version 1.8.2

    I was using version 1.8.1 with the following settings:
    – Two domains: https://www.fitforlife.fr (FR content) and https://www.fitforlife.fr (EN Content)
    – Polylang was configured with the options for serving the content through the two domains
    “The language is set from different domains”

    – WordPress was configured with “post names” as the permalink structure.

    Everything has been working fine with the 1.8.1 version. After updating to 1.8.2 I noticed that :
    – Every page was returning a 404
    – The search on the website was “sometimes” working (I suspect some cached content)

    I updated the permalink structure (?p=$post-id), and noticed it was the same thing.

    I rollbacked to version 1.8.1 and noticed that everything was working again. I didn’t have a chance to investigate because it’s a production website (my dev. env. isn’t up that’s why), but I’ll be more than happy to rebuild my dev and further investigate.
    For those of you who are in a hurry to get thing back, here’s the 1.8.1 version:

    Could it be related to that fix (what the changelog says for this version):
    – fix: canonical redirection of static front page when combining plain permalinks + default language hidden in url

    Something is broken in 1.8.2. In my case every page is pointing to the root of the website. Posts are ok, but permalink to pages are broken.

    Can you enable the debugging of PHP and paste us the output here while calling a page?

    I have the same problem. After update from 1.8.1 to 1.8.2 always returning to root.

    Same for me pages doesn’t work but if I desactivate Polylang pages work… And it’s after the update 1.8.2

    After update from 1.8.1 to 1.8.2 any menu redirects to home, is impossible to open any page or post, is the same in all languages, urgen to fix it.

    How can i downgrade to 1.8.1?

    Your problem looks different from what all other users are experiencing. The changelog you are referring to is indeed the cause of the redirection of all pages to the homepage for some combination of settings.

    However, I am not able to reproduce your issue which should impact only people not using static front page. And as far I see, you are using a static front page.

    Please test the development version (1.8.2.1) just in case.

    Otherwise, it would be good that you setup your dev site to go deeper and see if it comes from a new conflict with your theme or another plugin.

    To all others, please open a new topic if the development version does not solve your issue.

    Hi Chouby,
    thanks. Indeed, you are right, I’m using a static page as a homepage. I’m using this plugin as my homepage builder:
    https://vc.wpbakery.com
    And it’s not fully compatible with Polylang, this is why I do a 301 to a static page.

    The development version (1.8.2.1 ) fixes the issues. No more redirects and 404.
