• Hi,

I have been using Theme My Login for a month or two without this problem occurring, which is why I am so confused as to why it has suddenly started happening.

The website where my problem is occurring: https://www.medianadefib.co.uk/e-learning/

I have the Registration form in a widget along side my Login Page, and beforehand when you registered it refreshed the page and the Login part of the page said “registration complete. You may now log in.”

Although it still works sometimes, now when people try to register it sometimes directs you to the login page but it still says “Register for this site.” instead of “Registration Complete.” But the registration widget has disappeared along with the login button. The registration hasn’t worked as I don’t receive an email. (With the url: https://www.medianadefib.co.uk/e-learning/?instance=1 )

There is no correlation for when this happens, the same email/details suddenly work when you try a couple of times, and it happens on all browsers. I don’t know what suddenly makes it happen.

I haven’t installed any other plugins since this has started happening, but I have had an email saying my WordPress has been updated to 4.2.3.

Why would this start happening and any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks!

Is it possible your server just started using caching maybe?

Thanks for your reply. But after further testing of why this might be happening, I’ve realised what may be causing it. The website directs to this “register for this site”/ login combination screen when there has been a mistake on the forms.

So instead of it saying “This username is already registered” etc it just goes straight to this screen. Is there a way I can make these messages appear in the registration widget?

I tested it without the registration in the widget (on it’s own separate page instead) but then the error messages DO appear, but it registers the person anyway even if there is an error. Even if the username has been used before or if the passwords don’t match.

With that being said, I’d rather it stay in the widget where it’s not registering people if the info is wrong. Do you have any suggestions as to why the error messages may not be appearing?

    Many thanks for your help.

The register widget should be passing an instance values so that the plugin knows which instance to display the message. Are you using custom templates?
