Registration Page Exception?

  • This plugin works as described, but not as expected. To be useful for a membership site, it would require an option to exclude the registration page.

    To their credit, they give code to add the functionality, but people who are comfortable writing code are not the ones looking for a plugin I imagine.

    In addition to the registration page, one would need to make an exception for an activation page, the URL for which includes a random string. I would change this to 2 stars since there are no instructions for how to do that even in the wiki.

    It is 5 stars if you never need users to register on the site. It works perfectly for directing all non-logged-in users to the login page. I just don’t think this is as useful as people might think when they install it.

    Thanks for trying Force Login. It was built to work with the default WordPress login, lost-password, and registration screens:

    /wp-login.php?action=register

    If your site is using a custom registration and activation URL, you will need to use Force Login’s bypass filter to allow public access to that custom URL.

    In short, the plugin won’t know what your custom registration URL is without you telling it.
